Postdoctoral Researcher in Multidimensional LC-MS for Biopharmaceutical Characterization
max. € 5.292,- 36 hours phd Fixed term contract
We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled and independent postdoctoral researcher for the development of chromatography-based analytical tools for at-line and in-line analysis of biopharmaceuticals. Do you have an analytical mindset and would you like to develop and apply analytical methods? Then you are the new colleague we are looking for!
About your role
In this project we aim to develop analytical platforms for biopharmaceutical characterization in upstream and downstream processes. You will work with multidimensional chromatography with the aim of performing sample preparation, separation and analysis in the same platform. You will work on the integration of the developed platforms with automated sampling systems and explore together with our bioinformaticians solutions for automated feedback control. You will apply the technology to the characterization of different biopharmaceutical processes. You will work in an international and multidisciplinary team and you will have close contact with industrial collaborators and instrument vendors.
About you
Our offer
Getting better by breaking new ground; that's our mission. This applies not only to healthcare, but also to our employees. In order to be able to continue to learn and develop, we offer internal and external training. You are also entitled to an end-of-year bonus (8,3%), holiday allowance, sports budget and bicycle scheme. Furthermore, as an employee of LUMC, you are also affiliated with the ABP pension fund. This means that 70% of your pension premium is paid by LUMC, leaving you with a higher net salary. Nice, right?
About your workplace
You will be embedded in the Center for Proteomics and Metabolomics (CPM) at the LUMC. The CPM is a highly international department developing and providing key analytical technology to the LUMC regarding the analysis of proteins, metabolites, lipids and glycans from biological materials such as cells and tissues. Mass spectrometry is the key technology applied at the CPM, complemented by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and advanced, miniaturized separation techniques. The postdoctoral researcher will be embedded in the Proteoform Profiling group under the supervision of Elena Domínguez-Vega.
