The team

In this role, you will be an integral part of the Regulatory Risk Management and Reporting (RRMR) team. This team's primary responsibility is to deliver prudential and statistical reports to the Dutch Central Bank and the European Central Bank. Additionally, the team is responsible for numerous internal reports and contributes significantly to the preparation of the Annual Report, FMO's ICAAP, and other managerial reports that guide the decisions of our risk committees. The team also includes regulatory risk managers who are tasked with monitoring prudential regulatory developments and assessing their impact on FMO. Another cross-functional sub-team focuses on maintaining the reporting systems used for the regulatory reporting process. Reporting officers, regulatory risk managers, and business analysts work hand-in-hand in a collaborative and dynamic environment, ensuring a stimulating and interactive work experience.
One of the key challenges of the RRMR team is the implementation of the updated Capital Requirements Regulation and Capital Requirements Directive (Basel IV package). The implementation effort is led by a dedicated project manager and stream leads from RRMR. Change is implemented through active cross-team collaboration.
We are currently looking for a project management intern who will join the Basel IV implementation project

Your role

As a Project Management Intern, you will work closely with the Basel IV Project Manager, aiding in the coordination and implementation of the updated capital requirements regulation and directive. You will be part of a diverse team contributing towards the implementation of these updated regulations. Your role will be pivotal in assisting the project manager in organizing key processes and events, maintaining the project roadmap, and tracking progress in close collaboration with stakeholders. This internship will provide you with the opportunity to familiarize yourself with regulatory implementation projects and enhance your knowledge in banking regulations and project management.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the Basel IV Project Manager in all project-related activities.
• Managing specific project tasks, ensuring clear communication and taking responsibility for sub-tasks.
• Collaborate closely with the project manager, the project team, and other colleagues to ensure alignment and coordination.
• Track tasks with the project team to ensure timely completion and adherence to project timelines.
• Organize and facilitate team meetings, including Steering Committee meetings, and document the decisions taken.

Your background

• You are a bachelor's student and this internship is a requirement for your study (ECTS-eligible).
• You are available for five to six months, for 4 or 5 days per week, starting as soon as possible.

• You have a keen interest in banking and risk management.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• You thrive in organizing and documenting processes and actions.
• You are fluent in English.
• You are based in the Netherlands.

FMO offers a competitive internship compensation of Euro 750 net based on a 5-day week.
